The Emo Legion will host Beer and Burger this Friday, Sept. 18, and a meat draw will also take place.
Beer and Burger is from 5-7 p.m.
A reminder that cribbage is played every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. This is open to everyone, and the cost is $5.
Bingos will take place at the Emo Legion on Oct. 20, and Nov. 15.
The Alberton Recreation Committee and Volunteer Fire Department are inviting Alberton residents to A Family Friendly Autumn Celebration. This takes place Sept. 20, from 1-4 p.m. Burgers and corn will be served. There will be games and a Bounce House. Please bring your own chairs.
A new COFFEE BREAK season will begin with a Meet and Greet (coffee and goodies) at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Christian Reformed Church, 18 Meadow Street in Emo. All ladies are invited to come out for a morning of fellowship with other women from our community and find out more about Coffee Break, with an introduction to the first study. “Discover James-Faith Introduction” which will begin on Sept. 30.
Coffee Break is a non-denominational small group Bible study that is open to all women in the community. Study material is provided, no previous Bible knowledge is necessary. While moms are participating in Bible Study, children ages 2 and up are invited to participate in Little Lambs. There is also a nursery for infants and toddlers. There will be bingo played at the Dance Hall on Sept. 17 and Oct. 1.
There will be a LaVallee Seniors coffee this Sept. 22 from 1-3 p.m. at the Devlin Hall. Coffee and home baking will be served. Come out and enjoy an afternoon of visiting. This is for seniors 55 plus.
Wyatt Galusha along with parents Chad and Lyndsi Galusha were honoured with a baby shower on Sunday, Sept. 13. A lovely outside shower, beautifully decorated and delicious food was served. Family at friends enjoyed the afternoon celebrating Wyatt.
Congratulations to Rylan McQuaker and Sierra (Happy) on their marriage. The couple were wed Saturday, Sept. 12 at a beautiful outside ceremony. Happy parents are Jason Happy and Carrie Kellar and Shane and Rachel McQuaker. The community sends you wishes for many years of happiness.
