The Emo and District Auxiliary Strawberry Social takes place this Friday, June 13, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the Emo Hospital. Admission is $5 at the door. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy the afternoon and support the Auxiliary.

The Dance Hall committee is having a garage sale on June 28, starting at 8:30 a.m. There will be all types of items to purchase. Donations would be appreciated for this fundraiser.
The Emo Legion will host an always enjoyed Beer and Burger and meat draw this Friday, June 13. There will also be a Beer and Burger and meat draw on June 27. That will be the last Beer and Burger night until fall.
Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of John Angus. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. The district is thinking of all those grieving at this sad time.
Congratulations and all the best to Brenda Wilson on her recent retirement from Westland Insurance, formerly Gillion’s. Brenda answered her last phone call and gave her last quote on May 23. Brenda worked at the Emo Branch for over 44 years. She was honoured with a well attended farewell with cupcakes and refreshments. Sending Brenda wishes for a happy retirement enjoying it with family and friends. Well deserved Brenda!
Congratulations to Greg (Moose) and Jay Leen Wiedenhoeft on their 25th anniversary celebrated on June 9. After enjoying supper out, they came home to a pleasant surprise. Their kids (Mya and Barrett) had rallied the grandparents, and together decorating was done and a special dessert was made and to top it off heartfelt speeches were given. As Jay Leen shared, “That was the best gift of all.”
