Emo and District Hospital Auxiliary hosting a tea, bazar and bake sale

The Emo and District Hospital Auxiliary is hosting their annual Fall Tea

Bazar and Bake Sale this Friday (October 21) at the Emo Legion, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Admission is $5.00 a person.

Crafts, draws, baking and a white elephant table will be part of the enjoyable event. The Auxiliary thanks everyone in the district for their community support.

Living Alone is hosting a Luncheon Presentation Social Connection and your Health. The presenter will be Jolene Morrisseau from CMHA, Fort Frances Branch. This takes place Wednesday, November 9 from 11:30-1:30 at the Emo Knox United Church. A free will offering will be accepted for the luncheon. For more information contact Joyce Meyers at 275-8302.

There will be Beer and Burgers this Friday ( October 21st) at the Emo Legion plus Country Jam. Beer and Burger starts at 5p.m. Followed by Country Jam at 7 p.m. admission is $5.00 for the dance.

Cribbage is played Wednesday night in the Clubroom at the Legion. Cost is $5 and starts at 7 p.m. Call the Legion if you have any questions about the many events taking place, at 482-2250.

Congratulations to Scott Galusha and Karlee Goulet on the birth of their son, Emerson Daniel, he was born October 10th.

Proud grandparents are Ralph and Tamara Galusha and Roger and Carla Goulet.

Happy 50 birthdays to Justin Booth on October 12. and cousin Scott Booth October 29th. The fifty years olds were honoured with a birthday party on October 7th. Many laughs and memories were enjoyed by all attending.

Also a belated 50th. birthday wishes to Ken Brown on October 5. May all three of you gentlemen enjoy many more happy years!

This years time change is November 6. Clocks turn back one hour. A sure sign fall is upon us.

Sending get well wishes to Carol Hyatt. Carol recently had an unexpected surgery, putting her in the hospital for a few days. Your many family and friends wish you all the best as you recover.

The district sends sincere sympathy, prayers and deep concern for the family and many friends of Shannon Jackson. Her passing has left the district at a loss. Shannon was a vibrant, hardworking loving woman.

Once again compassion and sympathy to all that are deeply mourning.

The Municipal Election is Monday (October 24) from 10 a.m. to 8p.m. Be sure to get out there and vote. The advanced polls held Saturday (October 15) saw sixty one people placing their votes.

Congratulations to Rebecca Zimmerman and Mackenzie Mahon on their marriage October 15. A beautiful wedding at St. Mary’s church was held, followed by a reception, the turkey dinner was delicious, the turkeys had been raised by Rebecca and Mackenzie.
