The Rainy River District Women’s Museum board met June 1. A heartfelt thank you was given to Annie Van Rosen for her years of dedication to the museum. The members wished Annie and husband Jan all the best on their move from Emo.
The Emo Museum opens July 2 and their always enjoyed pie social takes place July 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The LaVerendrye Hospital Auxiliary will host a Strawberry Social at the Fort Frances Senior Centre on Thursday, June 11, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Admission is $6. Fundraising is being done to purchase equipment for the LaVerendrye Hospital.
The Emo District Hospital Auxiliary will host a Strawberry Social at the Emo Hospital Cafeteria on Friday, June 12, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door. The Auxiliary thanks all that attend for their support.
The Emo Legion will host Beer and Burger plus a meat draw this Friday, June 12. This will be the last Beer and Burger until fall.
There will be a dance at the Emo Legion featuring the live band Throwback. This takes place June 20. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and can be purchased at the Legion, Tompkins or Tompkins Outdoors.

Happy 75th birthday to Mel MacDonald. Mel celebrated his birthday on June 4.
Happy 70th birthday to Darryl Romyn on June 7.
