District fair a huge success

This year district fall fair was huge success. The weather cooperated Thursday and Friday, except for Friday evening, causing the stock races to be rescheduled. The Friday night races were held Sunday afternoon.

The fairgrounds were full of fair goers all days, but especially Saturday. The food was great and a large selection to chose from. All agricultural events were enjoyed, the loggers competition went off great. The exhibition was visited by many.

The nail biting queen contest saw Mickenna Ryell finish as the 2022 queen, first princess McKenna Mctavish and second princess Addison Brown. Addison also was chosen Miss. Congeniality and was honoured with the Dorothy Bonot award. Valentina Busch added to the queen contest with her kindness, pose and positive support to her fellow contestants.

Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Denis Mutz. Our community is sending condolences and prayers to his family and friends during this sad time.

Also sympathy to Jerry Allen, he will be sadly missed by his family. Jerry will be fondly remembered for his community work, cooking at the Legion and his many family and friends who loved him. Jerry suffered a long journey with poor health, always surrounded by supportive people and family. He leaves many to mourn his passing.

Also sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Pat Howard. Thinking of you during this sad time.

Congratulations to Mike Badiuk and Tasha Wood on the birth of their son. Carter Nevin was born August 16th.

Proud grandparents are Bob and Trudy Badiuk and Paul and Audrey Wood.
