Everyone is invited to see the much-anticipated renovations to the Devlin Hall. There will be an open house for all residents to come and see this Friday, Oct. 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Come check out the hall and mingle with friends, family, and neighbours as everyone attends this exciting community milestone.
Music provided by Party Rock DJ Services; a light meal and refreshments will be served and a cash bar provided by Emo Legion Branch #99. Everyone is welcome.
Beer and Burger takes place at the Emo Legion this Friday, Oct. 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The meat draw takes place at 7 p.m.
Bingo will be played at the Emo Legion on Oct. 20.
The Township of La Vallee Senior Citizens 55+ Recreation Committee invites seniors to yoga. This starts Oct. 1 and will last for 10 consecutive weeks. The cost is $50 for 10 sessions, and it takes place at the Devlin Hall. Call Glenda at (807) 271-8166 for further information. Carol Hyatt is the instructor.
The next Seniors Coffee gathering takes place Oct. 6 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Devlin Hall. All seniors are invited to come out and enjoy an afternoon of visiting, coffee, tea and home baking.
There will be a Seniors Bingo on Oct. 5 at the Devlin Hall from 1p.m. to 3 p.m.
Yoga is also taking place with instructor Carol Hyatt at the Emo Legion, which started Sept. 29 and will last for 10 weeks. The cost is $50 for 10 sessions.
The LOTW Recreation Committee will host its second annual Bergland Giant Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Bergland Hall. The hall is located at 7705 B Hwy. 600. Celebrate the colours of fall with friends and family and fun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendor markets, canteen, baby animals, plus lots more will make for a fun day. There are several categories to enter pumpkins. Register for pumpkin categories from 10 a.m. to noon. The judging and weighing begin at 1 p.m. For more information, contact LOTW Recreation.
