The renovations taking place at the Dance Hall are making a huge difference. The roof is complete, the building is now nice and square, the waters running and new doors and windows make the building a wonderful site. Especially for all the dedicated volunteers and organizers of this project.
The winner of the basket from the Emo fair booth was Julie Cavers from southern Ontario.
A reminder that 50/50 tickets are being sold to see this project through. Tickets can be purchased at Norlunds, Devlin Store, LaBelle’s Birch Point Camp, The Harbourage, and West Side Bait and Tackle. The draw will be made in Boxing Day.

A lovely bridal shower was held for Brittany Galusha on Sunday afternoon (August 28). Brittany will marry Marc Valentini September 24. Brittany is the daughter of Ted Galusha and Angela Galusha.
Happy to say this wedding is taking place after two Covid cancellations. I’m sure the wedding day will be perfect and make up for all Covid frustrations.
School starts September 6 for all schools in the Rainy River District. A reminder to use extra caution while driving near schools and all buses.

For 20 years a wife had been complaining to her husband about not putting the cap on the toothpaste. It was their anniversary so the husband decided to change this bad habit and make his wife happy. For a week he was diligent, always capping the toothpaste. He was expecting his wife to thank him but she never did. Finally one day while they were eating supper she turned to him and said, “Why have you stopped brushing your teeth?”
