CRC raises funds for Ukraine

The Christian Reform Church held their annual pancake breakfast during Spring Fever Days. It was decided all monies raised would be donated to the people in the Ukraine. A total of $2500.00 was donated for this worthy cause. The Dorcas ladies frin the CRC would like to thank everyone in our district that attended the pancake breakfast fundraiser. They truly appreciate the blessing to be united in this community effort.

Hats off to all your performers, musicians stage people and all the others that were part of the production of Cry Baby. This was an absolutely delightful production. Way to go Fort Frances High School. Baseball for youth will hopefully start next week.

If the Devlin baseball fields drys up and the fence is fixed games will start for the season.

A happy 75th birthday to Linda Booth. May you enjoy a blessed year of health and happiness.

Also a happy 75th to Delores Korpi. Many will remember Delores with her friendly service at Canadian Tire. May tote year be filled with good health, and happiness.

Congratulations to Trevor Hands and Krissy Brown. The couple were engaged over the weekend. A family luncheon was enjoyed by many.

Pleased parents are Nelson and Alvina Brown and Larry and Barb Hands. The couple are planning to wed in July of 2024.

Sincere sympathy to the family and many friends of Wendy Judson. Wendy was a vibrant, friendly lady. She has left many precious memories in the community, with her friends and especially her family.

A reminder that the Emo Walleye Classic takes place May 26 to 28. If you wish to enter a team the registration fee is $500. Volunteers are needed. Call Colleen Vennechenko at 276-4128 for more information.

Tickets are being sold to raise money for the EDBMH Association. This is to raise money due new hockey jerseys for players. The meat packages are in the value of $600.00, $300.00 and $200.00 and are all made up local meat producers. Several people are selling tickets in our community. Be sure to purchase tickets for this worthy cause. Tickets vary from $5 to $10. The draw takes place May 28th. at the Emo LaVallee Arena.
