Sympathy to the family and friends of Olga Dawkins (Bodnar) in her recent passing.
Olga, a long time residence of Devlin, was a friendly lady. Always a smile on her face and a welcoming heart.
Also sympathy to the family of Roy Young who passed on July 12.
Roy was a friendly soul. I always enjoyed our chats when we were fortunate to meet at a function. A great man to many.
Happy retirement to Marlene McQuaker on her retirement. She was honoured with a surprise retirement party last Saturday (July 20).
Marlene dedicated 24 years of great customer service to Village Variety.
She was surprised when many of her coffee customers showed up to wish her all the best.
Marlene shared with me that she is semi retired as her and Pete will be doing renovations that will give her spare time for her future.
Once again congratulations from your family and friends.
The Rainy River District fall fair is just around the corner (Aug. 15,16 and 17).

Congratulations to Bill Godin and Dave Lindsay on their eighth place finish at the Fort Frances Bass Tournament, also to Dale Labelle and Dave Byrnes on their sixteenth place finish.

You only need two tools in life–WD-40 and duct tape.
If it doesn’t move and should, use WD-40.
If it moves and shouldn’t, use duct tape.
