Barwick Easter Market this Saturday

There will be a Barwick Easter Market this Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Barwick Hall.

Be sure to stop by and check out this market. There will be a building full of vendors, upstairs in the hall, as well as the main floor, will be packed. Stellar Seafoods Inc. will be outside, and there will be a Photo Booth upstairs, as well as Edna’s lunch being served!

There is a ramp for anyone that can’t use the stairs. Make sure and enter for the door prize as well as the draws. Bring your friends and family and make it a day out in Barwick!

The Emo Legion Good Friday Walleye Fish Fry is April 3 at the Emo Legion Branch #99. Take outs are available by calling 807-482-2250. Meals must be picked up between 4 – 4:45 p.m. Eat in is from 5-6:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $25, 10 and under $15. Tickets are available at the Emo Legion Clubroom on Wednesday-Saturday from 4-6 p.m., or at Tompkins and Tompkins Outdoors.

The Fugitives Dance Band from Manitoba will perform at the Emo Legion on April 11. Doors open at 6 p.m., the dance is from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Legion, Tompkins or Tompkins Outdoors.

There will be breakfast served at the Emo Legion on March 29 from 9-11 a.m. The cost is $15, the menu consists of an English muffin combo or a pancake combo. All combos include meat, hash browns, yogurt, juice and coffee.

Last Friday, March 20, Beer and Burger saw Nicole Drennan and Brett Allan win the meat draw. Meat was purchased from The Place. The next Emo Legion Bingo is April 21.

Spring is in the air and Emo is getting ready to celebrate with shopping, community fun, special promotions and much more. This years annual Spring Fever Days take place April 16-18. Emo organizers want everyone to shake off winter and welcome spring.

The final date to nominate a LaVallee Senior of the Year is March 31. All nominations are to be submitted to the Municipal office.

Sincere sympathy and prayers to the family and friends of Donna Govier. Donna will be sadly missed by all that knew her. May those grieving find support in the many people thinking of you at this difficult time.

Happy 40th birthday to Carley Romyn (McCormick). Carley reached this milestone birthday on March 20.

A surprise birthday party was held to celebrate this special occasion on March 21, at the Emo Legion.

And yes she was completely surprised!
