The Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances will be holding their spring tea on Saturday, May 4 from 1-3 p.m.
Donations for the bake table would be greatly appreciated as well as new or “gently loved” items for the penny table.
If you are able to help out the day of the tea or want more information please call Cathy at 274-3408. Come and enjoy the fun!
The organizers of the tea would appreciate help from those in the community who would like take part.
Funds raised go to help with outreach projects in the district and with missions around the world.

The next “Country Jam” will take place at the Emo Legion on Friday, April 26, starting around 7 p.m.
The organizers are looking for more musicians, so if you want to come out and take part, please bring your own equipment.
If you love to dance or just sit and listen to some old time country music, please mark Friday on your calendar.
Entrance to the jam is only $2.
The kitchen staff will only be too glad to fix you a snack to go along with the adult refreshments which will be available from the bar.

The Fort Frances Choraliers will perform their Easter cantata, this year entitled “Hope Alive in Me,” on Sunday, April 28 at 3 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in International Falls and again on Sunday, May 5 at 3 p.m. at the New Beginnings Fellowship. Free-will offerings will be accepted.

The “Spring in Hawaii Gala” will be held on Saturday, May 4 at the Emo Arena. Social hour 5:30 p.m., Hawaiian meal at 6:30 p.m.
Live entertainment, penny table, silent auction, cake roulette, games and prizes. Tickets cost $50 each (with a $25 charitable receipt).
Tickets available from Emo Fair board directors. Come out and support the fair board directors as they raise money for their newest projects.

The Emo Speedway is busily preparing for the coming season.
Mark your calendars for their work bee weekends which will take place on May 4 and 11. If you need community hours or are bored and willing to help out, come down to the speedway!
Both the May 4 and May 11 work bee will start at 10 a.m. (weather permitting). BBQ provided.
