The Emo and District Lions would like to thank the entire district for its phenomenal support of their annual “Hunters’ Night” which was held on Saturday in Barwick.
Nearly 350 people enjoyed a fantastic meal of wild meat and fish, cooked up by the club’s excellent kitchen staff.
The Lions welcomed fellow lions from across the district and from clubs in Minnesota. Visiting hunters were in abundance as were local supporters.
All aspects of the evening were a complete success, including the penny table, the 50/50 draw, the cake toss, and the gun raffle.
Congratulations to Jodi Caul, the winner of a new rifle.
The highlight of the event was possibly the live auction, led by auctioneer, Bud McQuaker, who did a marvelous job of coaxing the crowd into some rather large bids.
The club members would like to thank all the donors who generously donated items to the penny table and the live auction.
The volunteers who helped serve food, those who stuck around to clean up and everyone who so willing assisted the club in raising money for the playground in Devlin.
Next summer when you play baseball or attend a game, take a walk over to the park and watch the children enjoying this accessible playground.
