‘Castin’ for Cash’ slated for July 6-7

Bill and Nel Godin from Lake Despair Lodge are all set to go with the annual “Castin’ for Cash” Bass Tournament.
A total of 55 teams have signed up all hoping to have the biggest total after two days of bass fishing. Weigh-ins begin Friday at 4 p.m. and are Saturday at 4 p.m. also.
There will be a fish fry Friday evening with fish and all the trimmings. The cost of the meal is $12 for adults and $8 for youth.
The Muskie hockey team will have food booths set up all weekend, with all your favourite tasty foods. Warren Anderson will provide canned music both nights, come out and enjoy this tournament.

Scott Galusha and Leeann Shattler with baby, Callum, arrived at Ralph and Tamara’s (Scott’s parents) from North Bay on Saturday evening just in time to have baby Callum baptized on Sunday at Pither’s Point Park.
Scott and Ralph will be fishing together at the Lake Despair tournament this coming weekend.

Martin and Twila Darrah have been home visiting Rosella Galbraith (Martin’s mom) Martin and Twila now live in Edmonton, AB.

Cornell Farms will host a barn concert on Saturday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. This show will be made up of several local performers, including Shannon Darby, Wayne and Dinette McIntyre, Kenneth Kellar, Lauren Gurski, Shane Beck, Garnett Cornell, and more.
This show will be made up of several styles of music including: violin, piano, guitar, and vocals.
John Dutton will be helping the Cornells with the organization of this concert.
