The Muskie boys’ hockey team will visit the International Falls Broncos on Friday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at Bronco Arena for the opener of their annual two-game “Border Battle” exhibition series.
The Fort Frances Lakers will host the Thief River Falls Norskies in SIJHL action on Friday, Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena. Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for those 12 and under, with those under five being free.
The community is invited to attend a Christmas Eve service at Bethel Baptist Church (located behind the Copper River Inn) on Monday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m.
The 31st-annual community Christmas dinner will be held Tuesday, Dec. 25 from noon-2 p.m. at Knox United Church. Admission is free and everyone is welcome! Meals on Wheels will be available starting at 11 a.m. but you must call June Caul at 274-2209 no later than Sunday, Dec. 23 to have one delivered.
A New Year’s Eve potluck dinner and dance (for ages 55+) will be held Monday, Dec. 31 at the Sister Kennedy Centre. Dinner is at 5 p.m., with the dance to follow.
“Through Their Eyes,” a community group program for children aged five-16 who have been exposed to woman abuse, will run once a week for 10 weeks beginning in February (location to be determined).
