The Community Living Open Air Art Studio will feature mini wall hangings. Stop by and get your creative juices flowing, Thursday, July 14 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Rainy Lake Square. All ages welcome!

Teddy Bear Picnic will be July 15, from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Head down to the library with your favourite teddy, for this carnival-style event. Tickets are $5 per person, and are available ahead of time at the library, or at the door. Art, Music, Photo Booth, Teddy Bear Doctors, Face Painting, Spry Farm Petting Zoo, Bouncy Castles and MORE! Bring a picnic, or buy a hot dog for $2 each.

The first annual Wes Fest concert will be taking place at the Rainy Lake Square from 4:00 until 10:00 p.m., featuring plenty of music from your favourite local bands.

Railroad Daze will be July 15-17 in Rainy River. Three days of fun community events, including cornhole and baseball tournaments, luncheons, yard sales, inflatables and kids events. For all the details, check out railroad Daze on facebook.

MP Marcus Powlowski will be holding a meet and greet at Rainy Lake Square, Tuesday, July 19 from 5-7 p.m. All residents are welcome to come down to ask questions or voice concerns.

Allure Drag Show Spectacular will be taking over the Big Tent at the Bass Tournament, Thursday, July 21 at 8 p.m. featuring some of the best and brightest drag performers from northwestern Ontario, plus games and prizes! Fort Frances Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony tickets are available for purchase at Taggs Source for Sports. Tickets are $50 per person. Only a handful are left, and they are expected to sell out soon, so don’t delay. The event will include cocktails and dinner at La Place Rendezvous, on Saturday, August 13.

Tai Chi in the Park will be held rain or shine every Wednesday at 11 a.m., in Lion’s Park. No experience needed – all abilities welcome for this free, drop-in event! In the event of rain, the group will move into the library.
