The Fort Frances Horticultural Society will be holding its Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, June 4th, starting at 9:00 a.m. The sale will be held at 1021 Walker Avenue.  See you there!!

The FFHS Muskie Football team’s coaching staff is running a Free Two Week Non – Contact Football Skills Camp. Students entering grades 7 through 12 this September are invited to participate. No experience is necessary. Players will get an equal opportunity to play all positions. Players are asked to wear t-shirt, shorts, football or soccer cleats and bring their own full water bottle. The camp starts Monday June 6 and runs every night Monday, through Thursday for two weeks from 6 to 8 p.m. at the high school field.

The Strawberry Social is back! It will look a little different this year – it will be delivery only, with your orders arriving on June 16. Each $6 order will come with strawberries, shortcake and ice cream! Order s are due by June 10. To place and order, please call Joanne at 807-274-5932.

The Fort Frances Ministerial Association is hosting a ‘Remembering Lives Lost to COVID-19’ event at Rainy Lake Square on Friday, June 10th from 12:15pm to 12:45pm.  It is open family, friends, and the community who experienced loss during the pandemic.  There will be music, scripture, and prayer.  (Those who cannot stand for an extended period of time are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.)

Choir! Choir! Choir! will be in town June 11 for a free show at the Rainy Lake Square, through a partnership between Borderland Pride and Tour de Fort. The concert will kick off right after the Pride March that day. Although tickets are free, pre-registration is required. To register, visit www.borderlandpride.org/ccc.

The Amazing Drag Race will be held June 18. The race is a car rally, taking place from noon to 2 p.m., with a barbecue and karaoke from 2-4 at Point Park. The Fort Frances Minor Hockey Association is looking for AA coaches for the 2022-2023 season. Coaches are needed in the U11, U13, U15 and U18 divisions. To apply, visit ffmhapresident@gmail.com.

The Right Relations Circle meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Fort Frances Museum & Cultural Centre at 10 a.m. – EVERYONE WELCOME. Ukraine fundraisers

Atikokan Stands with Ukraine is a grassroots organization to raise funds and provide housing for several Ukrainian refugee families. They will be collecting monetary donations, as well as clothes, toys, bikes, and household items for the region’s refugees. Monetary donations over $100 are eligible for a tax receipt.
