A Bake Sale and Cookie Walk will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 in Fort Frances. It will take place today, Thursday April 14, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Proof of vaccination required.

Avery Raquel will be entertaining crowds with her vocal talent, Friday April 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre. Tour de Fort is hosting the event. A Good Friday Fish Fry will take place at the Emo Legion. Take-out will be available from 4 p.m. Dine-in will take place from 5-6:30 p.m. A two-fillet dinner is $20, or $10 for one fillet. For tickets, call 482-2250.

The Couchiching Multi-use Facility will play host to an Easter Market, to be held Friday April 15 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday April 16 from 10 a.m. -4 p.m. Fresh baking, farm fresh meat, crafts and more! Free admission.

An Easter Flower and Vendor Pop-up will be held at Lowey’s Greenhouse and market Garden, on Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Kiwanis Easter Egg-Stravaganza is back! The event will run Saturday, April 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Rainy Lake Square. Bring a bag or basket, follow the map and collect goodies and a chance to win prizes! All are welcome to this free event.

Clean up your library fines, while helping someone in need. Bring in your unused full-sized or travel sized toiletry items to the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre by May 1, and your library fines will be forgiven. Items will be donated to the Substance Abuse Prevention Team, to help those working to get on their feet.

Spring workshops at the Museum are back! On April 23, Meredith Croswell will tach card making, from 1-4 p.m. Cost is $51.25. On April 30, join Meaghan Spooner for Cookie Decorating, from 1-4 p.m. Cost is $30. On may 7, Cher Pruys will teach Stained Glass Suncatchers, from 1-3 p.m. Cost is $80. On May 21 and 22, Jamie Nelson will teach Felting Spring Toads. Cost is $55. Register early – class size is limited!

Ukraine fundraisers

A fundraiser to benefit Ukraine is being organized by Tess Coish of Tess’ Kitchen. The caterer will be donating $2 from every dozen perogies or cabbage rolls sold being donated to Unite With Ukraine, which supplies protective equipment to the Ukrainian military. To place an order, call Tess at 274-0787 or message her over Facebook.

Volunteer

The Fort Frances Family Centre is in need of cereal and men’s shoes. Please bring any donations to the Centre, located in the old CN Station, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

A clean-up work session for the Stratton Sales Barn will be held Friday at 10 a.m. If you can help, just show up and you’ll be assigned a job.

The LaVerendrye Hospital Auxiliary is looking for volunteers for its lobby gift shop to work a few hours a month. If interested call Jan Beazley at 276-1360. They are also looking for people to work on other projects such as Strawberry Social, Rocking for a Reason, fall tea and Spirit of Christmas.
