Halloween Happenings

Rainycrest is inviting Halloween trick-or-treaters between 2:30pm-4:30pm on October 31. Residents will be watching from the activation windows at the front of the Home for little ghosts and goblins to parade by on their way to collect treats, which will be handed out by Riverside staff at the main entrance.

The Fort Frances Library Technology Centre is hosting a Trunk or Treat in their parking lot, October 31 from 5-7 p.m. Contests, prizes and a safe place to trick or treat with your family! Visit for more information.

The Fort Frances Muskie Theatre presents The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, at the Townsend Theatre, October 28, 29 and 30. Curtains go up at 7 p.m. General admission is $7, or $5 for seniors. Tickets available at Causeway Insurance.

The Fort Frances Muskies Football team will be hosting the Brae Broncos for the semi-final match, Friday, October 29. Kick-off begins at 2 p.m. Spectators welcome! The winner of this match will go on to the final against Dryden.

The Fort Frances Lakers will be playing the Kam River Walleye on Friday, October 29 and the Thunder bay North Stars on Saturday, October 30. Both games get underway at 7:30 p.m. in the Ice for Kids Arena. The team is inviting spectators to Pink the Rink, by wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Right Relations Circle meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Fort Frances Museum & Cultural Centre at 10 a.m. – EVERYONE WELCOME. This community group is committed to improving settler-Indigenous relations in the Rainy River District (Treaty 3 territory) through education, outreach, sharing, and advocacy on issues of reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion.
