The Downtown Fort Frances BIA and the Chamber of Commerce invite you to an official Christmas Tree Lighting in Rainy Lake Square starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday Nov. 21 with loads of fun family activities. “Join us as we celebrate lighting our 20 foot tall Christmas tree. Bring the whole family out and enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas.”
The Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau is holding a Christmas Market on Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday Nov. 22 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. 140 4th St. West. All proceeds go to the Volunteer Bureau Food Bank. For more information call 807-271-2839.
Knox United Church Fort Frances is hosting a Christmas Luncheon and Bake Sale. Saturday, Nov. 22. Luncheon of homemade soup, Sandwiches, & Dainties. $15 adult, $7 children 5-12 free 4 and under. Bake table and silent auction.
The Rainycrest Auxiliary will host a Christmas Bazaar at in Hallett Hall at Rainycrest on Nov. 29 from 1-3 p.m. There will be a Penny table, wreath table, bake sale, Jewelry table, and a gently used table. They will also be accepting membership sign ups for the Auxiliary. All are welcome, good will offering for entry, door prize up for grabs. Come support the Rainycrest Auxiliary.
The Fort Frances Kiwanis Santa Claus Parade will take place Saturday Nov. 29 starting at 5 p.m. running from the Shevlin Woodyard down Scott St. to Central Ave. To register a float email fortfrances.santa@gmail.com
Tour De Fort is hosting George Canyon and Aaron Pritchett on their Coast to Coast Cowboy Christmas Tour. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025 at the Townshend Theatre. 7:30 p.m. Tickets $45 available at tourdefort.com, Ski’s Variety or the Fort Frances Public Library.
Zion Lutheran Church will be hosting its Christmas bazaar on Dec. 6 from 1-4 p.m. They’ll have an amazing array of bread for sale, including Swedish Rye bread, braided sweet bread, and Swedish flat bread. There will also be a bake sale, cookie walk, a jewelry table and gently used Christmas décor for sale.
Diane Maxey’s Christmas Cantata will have three performances this year. The first is Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in International Falls, Dec. 14 at New Beginnings Church in Fort Frances at 2 p.m. and Dec. 16 at Rainycrest Long Term Care at 1:30 p.m.
The Rainy Lake Community Orchestra will perform a holiday concert at the Fort Frances Public Library on Monday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, light refreshments will be served afterwards.

The Rainy Lake Readers Book Club meets the third Tuesday of each month from 6:00-7:45 at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre. Visit the Library and check out the display of this month’s book selections. New members always welcome.
Story Time at the Fort Frances Library is held every Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre! Story Time features a new theme each week, with carefully selected stories, songs and activities that will captivate and engage your little ones. No registration required. Baby Time is back at the Fort Frances Public Library! Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. “Join us for songs, rhymes, lap bounces, stories, free play and more.”
Pokémon Club is held Fridays at 4 p.m. at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre. New to Pokémon? Learn how to play and develop your skills! We play Pokémon cards in the unlimited format, which means that you can use cards from any set to build your deck! Recommended for ages 8-14+. Please bring your own snacks.
Lego Club at the Library, every Thursday from 3:30-5 p.m. come build, create and connect. Compete in Lego building challenges, create unique builds and build big!
STEM Saturday is at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Stop by for STEM-based fun, games and crafts! Anyone under 8 needs to be accompanied by an adult.

The Fort Frances Lakers are always open to new gameday volunteers– Positions include camera operators, Stats keepers, camera operators, beer garden servers and security, and raffle sales. The Rainycrest Tuck Shop is accepting donations– The Tuck Shop is open to residents, family, staff and visitors. Great items for donation are things like large stuffed bears, knick knacks, gift items and items for residents to place on their night stands or wall/door. Proceeds from the Tuck Shop go to the Rainycrest Auxiliary, which benefits residents. Donations can be dropped off inside the main entrance, labelled ATTN: Tuck Shop.
Rainycrest Auxiliary Membership – New members are always welcome and current members are reminded to renew their membership dues are $10 per year starting in 2026 and can be paid at the Tuck Shop or by calling 274-6954 (Judy) or 271- 4114 (Donna).
