There will be a Moose Hide Campaign event to take action to end violence against women and children, on Thursday May 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ball field at The Point. Join in for a day of Ceremony and Healing. Sponsored by the OPP, AgencyOne, and Grand Council Treaty #3.
The Friends of the library annual book sale will take place on Saturday May 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fort Frances Public Library. Cash only, bring your own bags. The library is now accepting book donations for the sale, no textbooks, encyclopedias or musty/damaged books.
The Memorial Sports Complex is inviting folks to come Paint the ICE before the ice is taken out at Ice For Kids arena. May 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Paint will be provided but everyone needs a helmet! Dress warm and wear stuff you don’t mind getting paint on.

Curvy Chick Boutique is accepting donations of prom dresses for graduating students this year. The prom dress closet will be open from 3-5 every Thursday in May.

A service celebrating the 100th anniversary of the United Church of Canada will be held at Knox United Church in Emo on June 8th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon. The service will be led by Barb Miller and other members of the congregation. Hope to see you there.

Memory Lane Café hosted by the Alzheimer Society–a welcoming space where individuals with dementia and their care partners can connect socialize and enjoy activities. The Rainycrest Tuck Shop is accepting donations– The Tuck Shop is open to residents, family, staff and visitors. Great items for donation are things like large stuffed bears, knick knacks, gift items and items for residents to place on their night stands or wall/door. Proceeds from the Tuck Shop go to the Rainycrest Auxiliary, which benefits residents. Donations can be dropped off inside the main entrance, labelled ATTN: Tuck Shop.
