New Year’s Eve Bash!! Ring in the New Year at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 29 in Fort Frances, with a New Year’s Eve party, featuring the music of Thinking of Pinky. Party gets underway at 9 p.m., and lasts until 2023.

The Freeze Yer Giizzard Blizzard Run is being held January 28, beginning at 9 a.m. The 43rd annual run starts at the Backus Community Center in International Falls, and is hosted by the International Falls Chamber of Commerce. To sign up, check out the event’s Facebook page.
The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot project is holding an information session, for employers exploring the idea of hiring foreign workers. The Rainycrest Tuck Shop is accepting donations– with Christmas approaching. The Tuck Shop is open to residents, family, staff and visitors. We could use large stuffed bears, men’s and ladies’ slippers, socks, hats, personal care items and items for residents to place on their night stands or wall/door décor as well as gift items and knick knacks. Donations can be dropped inside the main entrance labelled ATTN: Gary Tuck Shop.
