Salvation Army’s Adopt a family– The holidays are just around the corner and the Salvation Army is seeking businesses and individuals willing to adopt a family in need. In this rewarding program, you adopt a family,and make their Christmas morning magical, with a turkey and all the fixings, and gifts for under the tree. Christmas Luncheon and Bake Sale–Knox United Church Fort Frances. Sat. Nov. 26 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. Homemade Soup, sandwiches and dainties. $10 adults, $5 Children. Four and under free.

Muskie girls hockey team Tea and bake sale–Admission is $5.00 at the door, includes having the FFHS Muskies Girls serve you coffee/tea, sandwiches and dessert. AND a chance to win a door prize ($100 Gift Card to the Flint House). Penny Table and Baked Good table available. At the Fort Frances Canadian Legion, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Winter open house at Manitou Mounds– free access to the indoor exhibit, free access to our outdoor equipment including snowshoes, cross country skis and sleds (weather permitting) as well as multiple free craft events, and the kitchen will be open for orders. Saturday Nov. 26 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Fort Frances Santa Claus Parade–November 26, starting at 5:30 p.m. Running along Scott. St. from Reid to Central Ave. Participants wishing to register a float can email brad.scoyne@ for further information.

Christmas tree lighting– After the Santa Claus parade at Rainy Lake Square Free Hot Chocolate. Sponsored by the Fort Frances BIA. Bring cash for snacks.

Voyageur Lions Club Chilly Dash and Splash–Like the polar plunge but not. Sunday Nov. 27 1p.m. at La Place Rendez -Vous. Are you brave enough to run into Rainy Lake all while raising money for a local cause that means something to you? Contact the Lions Club for more information.

The Spirit of Christmas–LaVerendrye General Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a silent auction. Sunday Nov. 27, 2022 at La Place Rendez-Vous in the upstairs ballroom $6 admission. Coffee, Tea, Dessert, Hot Chocolate & Cash Bar. Cash, cheque and card accepted.

Rainy Lake Community Orchestra Christmas Concert – Monday, December 5th @ 6:30pm – Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre. Celebrate the holiday season with a free performance by the Rainy Lake Community Orchestra. Non-perishable food donations in support of local food banks are welcome!
