The Fort Frances Muskies Football team will play their last game of the regular season on home turf, Friday, October 21. Kick-off is at 2 p.m. A concession will be available, with all proceeds supporting the team. GO MUSKIES!

Local Author visits at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre– Saturday, October 22nd @ 11:00am Frank Maraj will be signing and reading from his latest book Snapshots of Life: the Story of Pinnie and Bella. Copies of the book will be available to purchase for $30.00; a light lunch will be served.

Volunteer Bureau Coat Drive–Drop off Mon-Wed. Oct. 24-26 from 1-6 p.m. Accepting donations of all gently used winter gear. Coats, snowpants, boots, hats, and mittens etc. Items can be picked up by those who need them on Thurs. and Fri. Oct. 27-28 from 1-6 p.m.

The Monthly Supper of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary to Branch #29 will be Chicken Parmesan. Dinner is $20 per-paid, with payment due October 21. Dine-in, pick-up or delivery available. Dinner includes pasta, Caesar salad, bun and dessert. Dinner will be Friday, October 28 at 5:30. Doors open at 4:30, upstairs of the Legion. Call Josie at 276-3293.

A Haunted Swim will be hosted by the Memorial Sports Centre, Friday October 29. The regular Toonie Swim from 3-4:30 is being transformed into a spooky haunted house, with decorations and spooctacular fun! Regular skill and supervision restrictions apply.

The Annual Trunk or Treat will be taking place at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre parking lot, Halloween night from 5-7 p.m. Load up your little ghosts and goblins for an evening of fun! Donations of cash and candy are welcome. To register as a trunk, contact the library.

The holidays are just around the corner, and the Salvation Army is seeking businesses and individuals willing to adopt a family in need. In this rewarding program, you adopt a family,and make their Christmas morning magical, with a turkey and all the fixings, and gifts for under the tree.
