National Day for Truth and Reconciliation–A full slate of events has been scheduled for Sept. 30. A collaboration between local organizations begins with a walk from Sorting Gap Marina to the Residential School Monument at the Nanicost Grounds. The route changed recently please check Facebook for more details. The walk will be followed by Elders sharing their healing stories, and the day will end with a powwow.

Guthrie United Church Harvest Supper–Sunday Oct. 2 5-7 p.m. Turkey, ham and all the trimmings adults $25, 6-12 $15. five and under eat free. Take out available.

Monsignor Pat Stilla at St. Mary’s Church–The Vicar General of the Thunder Bay Diocese offers mass next week, Mon-Wed. Oct. 2-4. Starting at 6 p.m.

Bargain Shop Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive–Runs Mon. Sept. 26-Oct. 8. Please stop by and donate a food item as a way of giving thanks for our blessings throughout the year.

Family Centre Thanksgiving Dinner–Wednesday Oct. 5 starting at noon. Open to all.

Volunteer Bureau Coat Drive–Drop off Mon-Wed. Oct. 24-26 from 1-6 p.m. Accepting donations of all gently used winter gear. Coats, snowpants, boots, hats, and mittens etc. Items can be picked up by those who need them on Thurs. and Fri. Oct. 27-28 from 1-6 p.m.

The Muskie Touchdown Club is a volunteer organization comprised of parents of Muskie Football players. The club raises funds to pay for equipment and travel for the football program.
