Debbie Fairbanks of Couchiching spoke to St. Michael’s students about medicine teachings last Monday during the school’s “Wellness Day.” Gary Councillor also presented with her about the four sacred medicines, which include sage, sweet grass, tobacco, and cedar. Students made medicine poaches to hold the sacred plants.
