The all-Canadian cast of “ABBAmania” performed the band’s popular hits in front of a full house at the Townshend Theatre on Saturday night. Opening acts were Rod Stweart (Dave Battah) and Tina Tuner (Sonia Ndongmo).
Grade 2/3 students from J.W. Walker School posed with “Hammy” the hamster on Monday after he survived the gas leak and fire there last week. In the meantime, “Hammy” will be with the students at Huffman School, who clearly were very relieved their furry friend survived the ordeal.
The Fort Frances Lions (dark uniform) took on the Kenora McDonald’s Bruins in the PeeWee tournament at the Emo-La Vallee Arena on Saturday. Fort Frances won this game 2-0.
