Emo Selects earn tie with Hawks

Minor hockey action was shortened at Emo-La Vallee Community Centre last weekend due to the Bantam/Midget tournament.
In one of the first games played, Emo Hawks scored with less than two minutes to play to earn a 3-3 tie with the Emo Selects in Atom action.
Mike Badiuk led the Hawks with two goals (their other goal scorer was not available) while Ryan Witherspoon (two) and Luke Judson replied for the Selects.
In Bantam action, the Fort Frances OPP battled the host Emo Bantams to a 2-2 tie on Marc Riordan’s goal with about 10 minutes left on the clock.
Kael Blasky also scored for the OPP while David Goodman and Greg Hartlin tallied for Emo
And in Midget action, the Emo Blues skated away with a 4-1 victory over Fort Frances on goals by Tyson Quibell, Tyson Romyn, Devon Allison, and Brett Meyers.
Andrew Lundy tallied the lone Fort goal.
