Raising the Franco-Ontarian flag

Tristan Hutton, left, and Fort Frances mayor Andrew Hallikas read out a proclamation in French, by Hutton, and in English, by the mayor, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Franco-Ontarian flag on September 25, 2025. The flag was first raised on September 25, 1975 and symbolizes the long history of the French language in the province of Ontario and its municipalities.
