MacKenzie Holmwood of Thunder Bay had the tricky task of getting back on track after spinning out during the first heat of the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds division Saturday night. Holmwood wound up finishing the heat in fifth place, just missing out on advancing to the ‘A’ feature race.
It was so nice they did it twice. Scott Andersen, left, and Tim Donaghue of Bemidji, Mn. held up the trophy after securing the Morson Bass International title for the second-straight year Sunday afternoon. The duo’s two-day total of 36.03 pounds topped the 18-team field this year.
Jamie Mountain Les Morrison of Baudette, Mn., right, and his partner, Bill Stay, held up their 19.20-pound Day 2 haul that helped them earn a fifth-place finish at the 2018 Morson Bass International on Sunday afternoon. Their catch on the final day also was the biggest bag of the tournament.
