      Amanda Roy Tiny Jackson Leininger may have greeted Santa with a big yawn but Morgan Olson definitely was more excited when jolly St. Nick stopped by their home here on Christmas Eve before making his regular rounds that night.

        Dave Ogilvie Turner and Morgan Redford and friends took advantage of the milder weather after Christmas to enjoy the outdoor skating rink in Emo. On good days, district residents can be seen skating or taking part in a game of hockey there.

          Amanda Roy Ethan Osmar, four, went for a bumpy ride down the hill on the overpass on Sunday. District youngsters are enjoying another week of Christmas holidays before heading back to school on Monday (Jan. 5).
