Elisabeth Heslop Fort Frances High School principal Gord McCabe handed Matt DePiero his diploma during the school’s convocation ceremony last night at the Memorial Sports Centre. There were 205 graduates in the Class of ’09, who celebrated their accomplishments afterwards at the annual “chem-free” party at the arena.
Mitch Calvert The spring football camp, aimed at generating interest in the Muskie program among Grade 6-8 students, wrapped up yesterday. The camp, which featured strength and conditioning drills, was a tune-up for the newly-formed junior football program for those players a year or two away from attending Fort High.

Elisabeth Heslop Jane McLeod, Mary Brown, and Gladys Martin served up cake, strawberries, and ice cream during the La Verendrye Hospital Auxiliary’s annual “Strawberry Social” last Thursday afternoon on the hospital grounds. The social is the biggest fundraising event of the year for the auxiliary.
