Dryden singer Lorne Nelson kept participants entertained all through the night with country songs and other melodies. Even when the big tent was empty, organizer John Homer said people still were having a wonderful time listening to him from their campsites.
Haven Labbe received an award from Fort Frances High School principal Gord McCabe during the school’s convocation ceremony last Thursday night at the Memorial Sports Centre. She received several awards, including the Board of Education Leading Student Award, the Governor General’s Academic Medal, and the Sir Isaac Newton Award.
As one of many entertainment acts, the Highland dancers from Fort Dance Studio took time to perform under the big tent, including a traditional sword dance.
Before participants started walking laps, the trainers at Energy Fitness got everyone ready with some warm-ups under the big tent.
