Heather Latter Despite the frigid temperatures, Kaitlyn Degagne was one of 43 jumpers who took part in the 2010 “Polar Plunge” on New Year’s Day. Jumping on behalf of the Sunset Country Squash Club, she raised a total of $325.

Dan Falloon Ed Katona and his grandson, Bransen Campbell, enjoyed a leisurely skate courtesy of Mayor Roy Avis at the ’52 Canadians Arena yesterday afternoon. The free event, which ran from 1-2:15 p.m., attracted about 75 skaters of both the hockey and figure-skating variety.
