From the OPP
On Feb. 3 around 1:45 p.m., Dryden OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17 in Dryden.
During the arrest of the male driver, an altercation between officers and the occupant occurred.
The male later went into medical distress, at which time he was transported by Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital for medical assessment and treatment.
The OPP has notified the province’s Special Investigations Unit, which has invoked its mandate.
As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide any further information.
