The SIJHL announced late yesterday make-up dates for a pair of Fort Frances Lakers’ games that were postponed due to inclement weather.
The match-up between the Lakers and Dryden GM Ice Dogs, originally scheduled for Nov. 4, now will be held Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Dryden.
As for the cancelled game this past Tuesday against the host English River Miners, the Lakers will make it up Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cochenour Arena.
The Lakers (6-14-1-1) are back in action tonight when they host the first-place Thief River Falls Norskies (23-1-0-0) at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena to open a home-and-home series.
It won’t be an easy task for the Lakers, who have dropped five-straight games and have yet to beat the Norskies this season.
Thief River Falls then will host the Lakers tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.
