Haven Labbe, a former Fort Frances resident who now lives in Kenora, climbed Mount Esja in Iceland last month with the added goal of raising money for SPACE Kenora, an LGBTQ2S+ youth and peer support group. After the first attempt was thwarted by snow and high winds, Labbe and her partner completed the climb Nov. 24 and raised just over $500 for the organization.
