Kenora OPP Cst. Jeff Poperechny, a Fort Frances native seen here with his four-legged partner, “Jax,” is among OPP K9 handlers from across the province featured in a new 2018 OPP calendar. Cst. Poperechny also is the handler for “Cinch,” a single-purpose ground search-and-rescue dog who searches for missing, lost, or despondent people. Locally, the calendars will be available for sale for $15 each at the Nor-West Animal Clinic and from local K9 handler Cst. Adam Martin, who also is in the calendar with his partner, Mako. All proceeds from the calendar will go to the OPP Youth Foundation and the Friends of the OPP Museum.
