Only one position is up for election in the Sunset Country Métis Community Council election next Tuesday (Nov. 28).
Judy Klyne and Sarah Marusyk both are running for women’s representative on the council.
Most of the other positions were acclaimed, with Brady Hupet as president, Roz Calder as chair, John George as senator, Kimmy Daley as youth representative, and Wade Nelson and Karen Chowhan as councillors.
The secretary/treasurer and one councillor position remain vacant.
These positions will be re-posted for applications again following the election.

Voting will be held next Tuesday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Sunset Country Métis Hall (714 Armit Ave.)
Registered Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) citizens are encouraged to drop by the hall to cast their ballot.
Remember to bring along your MNO citizenship cards.
