Losing has become an unusual trend for Centra Pipelines.
Jeremy Nussbaumer fired home a pair of goals as Pharmasave pulled off a significant 4-3 upset over league-leading Centra in Borderland Soccer League men’s division action at Struchan Gilson Memorial Soccer Pitch last night.
Nussbaumer moved into second in league scoring with now seven goals on the year, while Brett Allen and Mike Webb also had markers for Pharmasave (3-7), who handed Centra its second straight lost after a 5-0 start to the year.
Steve Hands picked up the win in goal to push Pharmasave past CJ Contracting (4-5-1, two default losses) into third place.
Lucas Koomans, Cam Gobeil and Tyler Hamm replied for Centra (5-2), with Hamm and Britt Green splitting the netminding chores.
Centra will look to get back on track on Monaday at 7 p.m. against CJ Contracting in men’s play.
Meanwhile, La Place Rendez-Vous/Taggs and Al’s Racquet Stringing will resume their season series in the women’s division, with both teams 2-2-1 against each other so far this year.
