The Town of Fort Frances is pleased to announce the theme of this year’s Canada Day parade.
With Canada’s 150 anniversary approaching, the planning committee has chosen to reflect upon Fort Frances’ last 50 years since the country’s centennial in 1967.
As such, this year’s theme will be “Fort Frances Since the Centennial.”
All businesses, organizations, groups, and individuals are invited to enter a float and try to incorporate this year’s theme by celebrating a decade of their choosing since 1967.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three floats.
Those participating are reminded that all floats are permitted to distribute candy to spectators lining the route.
Meanwhile, those attending the parade are encouraged to dress as they would for Canada Day any year since 1967.
