Peggy Advent had a happy ending to a silent auction mixup at the Ducks Unlimited fundraising dinner and auction held Friday at the Fort Frances Curling Club, which was attended by approximately 175 people and raised more than $30,000 for the local branch of DU. Advent bid on what she thought was this robin carving, while another guest was under the impression he had bid on a pizza board and cutter. Both ended up getting their sought-after item through the efforts of her husband and the event’s auctioneer Telford Advent, who engineered an agreeable trade between the two parties.
