The Rainy River District Fall Fair is coming soon, this years dates are Aug. 16-18.
As always organizers and the Fair Board and the Fair Board Committee work throughout the entire year in order to provide a fun-filled family fair.
Be sure to make this part of your weekend. Many traditional events will take place, including the stock car races, loggers’ contest, and the exhibition hall displaying entries from the entire district.
The arena is always ” filled to the rim” with displays, not to mention the midway and amazing food.
This year there will not be a fair queen contest; however, there will be a mini-king and queen contest.
This will take place Aug. 17 upstairs at the arena. I will print more info on this event next week in my column.

Congratulations to Pam Bujold and Murnie Allen. They were wed last Saturday (July 28th) at a beautiful outside wedding.
Several family and friends shared this special occasion with them.
The rain even held off even though extreme rain and hail hit hard just a few miles from the wedding site.
May you both enjoy many years of wedded bliss.
Robin’s 2¢
An old lady offers the bus driver some peanuts . . . so the driver happily munches them.
Every five minutes, she offers him more.
Driver: Why don’t you eat them yourself?
Old lady: I can’t chew. Look, I have no teeth.
Driver: Then why do you buy them?
Old lady: Oh, I just love the peanuts inside them!
