‘Country Jam’ continues Friday

The next ‘Country Jam’ will take place this Friday at the Emo Legion starting on or before 7 p.m.

For only a toonie you can enjoy an evening of dancing and listening to your favourite old time country tunes.

The bar will be open for adult refreshments and the kitchen staff will whip you up a snack for a small fee.

Mark Friday on your calendar and bring a friend to Emo’s “Country Jam.”

Science North will be holding free “Robots en Route” workshops July 24, for children ages 7-12.

Space is limited, so please phone the Emo Public Library at 482-2575 to register and for more information.

The TD Summer reading program is underway also.

The Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship is pleased to welcome the Fort Frances Lions Club as their charity event on Thursday, July 19!

They are raising funds for their new playground equipment at the Lions Park.

The club will have pull tabs for sale all three days at the BASS as well as their signature “Bingo” but it’s under the Big Tent, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Their sponsored evening entertainment is the CCR Band from Thunder Bay! These guys are playing all over the NORTH to rave reviews!

Tickets are $10 each and you can buy them at Northwoods or sponsors can purchase a table of 10 for $150 and you can get tickets at the door of course! Come out and support this great fundraising event.

The Emo Agricultural Research Station will be holding an open house on Wednesday, July 25 at 7 p.m.

Come out and tour the plots and talk to the special guest for the evening, Christine O’Reilly, forage specialist for OMAFRA.

Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend.
