The Muskie boys’ hockey team clinched first place in NorWOSSA with a 3-1 win over the host Dryden Eagles last night.
The black-and-gold, who sport an 11-0 record in league play, also earned home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs as they seek their 10th-straight NorWOSSA crown.
Kendyn Faragher netted a first-period goal, then Jon Busch and James Gushulak scored in the second, to carry Fort High to victory.
Spencer Murphy earned the win in goal, allowing only Nathan Kiddie’s third-period tally.
The Muskies begin a busy final week of the regular season, which sees them play four games in four days, with a Monday afternoon showdown in Kenora against the Broncos.
Their next home game is against those same Broncos this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the ’52 Canadians Arena.
