The action was fast and furious, both here and away, the last couple of weeks for teams in the Fort Frances Girls’/Women’s Hockey Association.
On Tuesday, the Fort Frances Atom Competitive Leafs blanked the Fort Frances PeeWee Fusion 4-0.
Fairnington, Piper Miller, Courtney McCoy, and Julia Guertin all scored while Bliss earned the shutout.
On Saturday, the Fort Frances Heat downed the Fort Frances Bruins 4-1 in Novice play.
Davilyn Miller netted a pair of goals while Sayler Easton and Makayla Gibbs added singles.
Harmony Yerxa replied for the Bruins.
The Heat dumped Emo 8-1 last Friday.
Miller led the way with four goals, with Gibbs, Easton, Hannah Pope, and Khloe Morrison adding singles.
In PeeWee action back on Nov. 17, the Fort Frances Fusion and Fort Frances Lightning battled to a 1-1 tie.
Abbie Kenny tallied for the Fusion while Shay Mannausau replied for the Lightning.
Games from Nov. 12 saw the Bruins double the Heat 4-2.
Addison Chown had a hat trick while Marlee Bliss also scored.
Pope and Miller did the damage for the Heat.
That same night, the Panthers blanked Fort Frances Dynamite 5-0.
Courtney McCoy bulged the twine twice, with singles going to Jersey Rose, Julia Guertin, and Marlee Bliss.
Madison Bliss recorded the shutout.
In Midget action, the Eagles cruised to a 7-1 win over the Snipers.
Maddy Morrison led the attack with four goals while Bryanna Dustin (two) and Hailey Tucker also scored.
Hannah DeGagne replied for the Snipers.
And two goals by Makenna Hill led the PeeWee Lightning to a 3-0 win over the Atom Competitive Leafs.
Kianna Antonick got the other goal, with Isabella Fortes earning the shutout.
