Sgt. Mark Chwastyk stopped a motorist on Second Street East yesterday afternoon during the first day of the OPP’s annual Festive R.I.D.E. campaign. Until Jan. 7, officers will be holding R.I.D.E. checks at all times of day across Rainy River District to make sure people aren’t driving impaired, as well as to raise awareness of the dangers of impaired driving.
