Elaine Ross, left, an FASD worker with the Anishinaabeg of Kabapikotawangag Resource Council, and Lana Smith, FASD/child nutrition worker with the Gizhewaadiziwin Health Access Centre here, led the walk this morning in honour of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder International Awareness Day. The walk was preceded by a pancake “BreakFASD” at the United Native Friendship Centre’s Circle of Life Centre. FASD Community Partners of the Rainy River District co-hosted today’s event with the UNFC. Yellow is the colour associated with FASD.
