Hydro One customers throughout Rainy River District, excluding Fort Frances, are slated to be without power next Wednesday (Aug. 24).
The planned maintenance outage is scheduled from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., affecting 3,955 customers.
Originally scheduled for this past Wednesday, crews were needed elsewhere, which caused the outage to be rescheduled.
“Crews were working to restore power to customers who were affected by the windstorm that came through,” a Hydro One spokeswoman noted yesterday.
“When that happens, we take resources and put them where it’s urgently needed.”
She added the outage is necessary for maintenance and equipment upgrades.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience with us,” she said, noting those affected by the outage have been contacted.
