Isabella Avis decided to get her souvenir shopping done before summer vacation began.
The Cyclone Swim Club member sped her way to the only two medals captured by her squad at the 2016 SunLife Grand Prix long-course swim meet season finale over the weekend in Thunder Bay.
Competing in the female age nine-10 division, Avis earned silver in the 200m breaststroke (3:58.19) and then added bronze in the 50m breast (52.75).
Also cracking top-10 finishes for the Cyclone were Jesse Begin (male 13-14), who was seventh in the 100m breast (1:46.73), Gabe Gunderson (male nine-10) taking ninth in the 50m breast (1:00.31), and Cameron McFayden (male 13-14) coming ninth in the 200m breast (4:19.25).
Logan McFayden earned a 10th-place finish in the male age 11-12 100m breast (1:53.42), as did Abby Bone in the female nine-10 50m butterfly (1:01.96).
Ingrid Ellis was 12th in the female 13-14 100m fly (1:46.30), as was Paige McFayden in the female 11-12 50m breast (49.04).
Jaykob Ryll came 14th in the male 13-14 100m fly (1:55.17) for his highest finish of the weekend while Sarah Rittau topped out at 16th in the female 13-14 200m breast (3:34.37).
Mickenna Ryll rounded out the Cyclones’ contingent with a best showing of 27th in the female age nine-10 50m breast (1:10.64).
