In celebration of National Nurses Week, Riverside Health Care would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to our entire nursing staff.
La Verendrye General Hospital, Emo Health Centre, Rainy River Health Centre, and Rainycrest Long-Term Care, as well as our community programs, are privileged to have such dedicated registered nurses and registered practical nurses.
Our personal support workers play an integral role as members of the nursing team, and provide a great deal of the direct-care services in our long-term care settings.
Together, their care, comfort, and support truly make a difference in the lives of our patients, residents, clients, and their families every day.
National Nurses Week (May 9-15) is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on, and appreciate, the vital role nurses play in our lives.
This year’s theme, “Nurses: With You Every Step of the Way,” emphasizes the importance of nurses and nursing care for every one of us—at every age and in all health situations.
Nurses account for the largest percentage of personnel across our organization and have a vast impact in supporting Riverside’s vision: To provide exceptional and compassionate health care, inspired by the people we serve, valued by our communities.
Nursing care has gone beyond the bedside with advanced education, varying specialties, and opportunities through new health-care technology. Whatever the tools and technologies, however, the job of the nurse forever will remain caregiver and advocate for the most sick and vulnerable members of our communities.
Their unwavering dedication and passion to the nursing profession supports our continuing commitment to safe, quality care and improving the overall care experience.
On behalf of the Riverside board and administration, we congratulate all of our nurses at Riverside and across Rainy River District.
